Be an employee with a CEO mentality
Who is a steward? He is a person who manages or helps others to run their affairs. In a broader sense anyone who work for somebody is a steward, let’s just simply put an employee.

There are some characteristics that one will see and say this person is a good employee. Some of the key characteristics of a good employee that a CEO possesses which will always draw any employer’s attention and interest are;

Honesty: The basis for trust
Trust: The basis for relationship and loyalty
Loyalty: The true meaning of commitment
Commitment: The reason for accountability
Accountability: The sure way to productivity
Productivity: Give you more reason to be enthusiastic
 Enthusiasm: The spirit of true success

In any man or woman in whom these qualities are found will never remain an employee for long because these characteristics are the pathway to ownership. While others seek promotion, Promotion and more responsibilities keep looking for these characters, for the reward of a work well done is more work, which automatically means promotion.

Any steward/employee that exhibits these traits is qualified to own whatever he/she is managing.  Whatsoever you are doing presently in your job is a direct reflection of your ability or capability to own and manage your own business. You must prove to the universe that you are qualified to be a boss by showing it through these listed qualities.

I challenge you to start developing the owner’s mentality and see yourself climb the ladder of success without stress because you have greatness in you.

Character, the true personal brand      

Packaging is a good concept in product strategy and branding but no matter the package it is the product that still matters most.
The container can attract people but it is the content that will keep them. Therefore the best brands will always improve on the content to meet the present challenges while modifying and improving on the container.
You may be wondering how does this affect you as a person, you must understand that to live a life of fulfillment, you must avoid living from outside-in but rather living from inside- out.

Looking good is good business they say, this is what has led to the establishment of  multi-billion dollars cosmetics, designers  and automobile companies all over the world,  it is good to be concerned about our image, that is how people see us, but most importantly after making your first impression, what next? Our surface value and personality perception cannot take the place of character make-over.
Character isn’t something you were born with and can’t change, like your finger print. It is something you weren’t born with and take the responsibility of forming.
The true value or worth of a man is his intrinsic value of character. Talent can take a man to the top but it is character that can keep him there, if you doubt this,  ask Tiger wood and the past IMF (International Monetary fund) boss if what I’m saying is true. A character that is not well developed in the secret will show up definitely in the public.

Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it but the tree is the real thing- Abraham Lincoln  
There were great men and women all through history who attained high levels of success but later crashed not because of their level of education or physical deformity but a deformity in character. Character is everything-100%.

I challenge you to build your personal brand on character. You Have greatness inside of you.

Delegating, a tool for leadership success

One tool that is handy for any leader to possess in other to succeed in leadership is the ability to delegate duties effectively.
Delegation is the act of delegating which means to authorize a person or group of people to act as a representative for you. This is empowering someone to do part of your job for effective result.  Some leaders do not know how to delegate or rather do not have the skills and attitude of delegating duties, the reason for this is that some leaders think what makes them relevant is the work they do and when given to someone else to do, they feel their relevance is being taking away, while others love the feel of being in control of everything, whenever they are not in control, they think the work is not moving well, everybody around is lazy etc.

Delegation is important if any leader will love to achieve more in reach and in scope. It is a defective leadership attitude if you do not know how to delegate. People will not grow under you and this is not good as a leader.

In other to properly delegate, you must first define the scope of the duty/responsibility to be done, set the boundaries with clarity and then give the delegate certain level of authority and independence to be able to perform the task. Let them make their mistakes and learn to grow.
This is one tool that leaders can use in other to achieve more for less

Ways to Handling Division among Team Members




Any institution or organization that is divided can never record any significant growth, improvement or progress. Division will cause a breakdown of any system which is always a tell tale sign of an unproductive group of people.
You must know that division can be in various forms such as; opinions, ideologies, believe, methodologies, thoughts, views and approach to issues. John Adams was quoted to have said “the greatest instrument of division is the abuse of words” and this can degenerate to further disintegration and conflict in the organization which when not properly managed to lead to anarchy.

Division is well known to create lots of negative energy like resentment, strive and hostility, hatred.  It is not absolutely wrong to be of a different opinion or having a different view to an issue, but this must be done in a manner love and from a pure heart of seeking the collective good of the group, it is often said that “we disagree to agree.”

How to deal with division in an Team/organization?
1.      You must first know the root of the matter, what lead to the division
2.     You will have to analyze the issue objectively without a premeditated solution
3.     Allow the parties involved to express their grievances
4.     Collectively seek for possible solution to the problem
5.     Adopt the best option available with consent to the parties
6.     Initiate reconciliation process for both parties
7.     Put in place measure to cub a reoccurrence of such or related issues.
The best way is to avoid any situation that will lead to division in you organization or group.
